NOCTURNE provides real-time venue occupancy data to bar owners and nightlife-goers in the Fullerton, California area. We use WiFi-based sensors installed in participating venues to count the approximate number of devices present. This data powers a live dashboard for venue owners and a consumer app for the public.
Our sensors detect WiFi probe request signals broadcast by nearby devices. We collect only an anonymous, aggregated device count. We do not collect, store, or process any of the following: device names, MAC addresses (these are hashed and immediately discarded), personal identities, browsing activity, app usage, location history, or any content from any device.
No cameras, microphones, or imaging technology of any kind is used.
If you use the NOCTURNE consumer app or website, we may collect your email address (if you sign up for updates or create an account) and general location data (city-level, only if you grant permission, used to show nearby venues). We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
If you participate as a venue partner, we collect your name, email address, venue name, and venue address for the purpose of operating the service. Your venue's occupancy data is private to you and is never shared with competing venues.
Our website may use basic analytics to understand traffic patterns. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. We do not serve ads based on personal data.
Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase, hosted on AWS). We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and follow industry-standard security practices. We retain aggregated venue occupancy data for historical analysis. No personal data from venue patrons is ever stored.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at justin@usenocturne.ai.
NOCTURNE is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
